He could have been following the @Potus account when Biden was president, it transfers over to the new administration after elections. He doesn’t seem to be very active on social media that he would’ve unfollowed the account.

I know it’s asking a lot- but a public figure like Gaga should not associate herself AT ALL in ANYWAY with someone like Elon by even following/interacting with his social media accounts.  IMO..  

 

and for Michael to follow TRUMP?? wtf?  We don’t need to follow these people’s social media accounts to keep up with their BS- we will hear about it either way..

Yeah it’s the previous Biden account. I discovered in horror I was following Trump too after the inauguration. Usually they archive the account and create a new one, but nope… Meta let Trump just take over Biden’s so anyone who was following Biden suddenly was following Trump.

I find it more understandable that he follows @potus and stranger, without explanation, that she follows Elon.

My sister (not MAGA) used to follow Trump (and not just @potus) on Twitter (back when it was called that). She said she just wanted to keep track of what he was saying... I reminded her that the one thing Trump valued above everything else was ratings (= follower count, etc.), and he would tout those numbers, regardless of the followers' motives.

(P.S. At that time, there was an anti-Trump account that did nothing but retweet each of his tweets, so you could keep track of him without boosting his follower count. If you really needed to read his drivel.)
