It’s making me giggle as an LA local, because the Puente Hills mall is infamously a dead mall. Kept afloat only by a bowling alley/arcade, and restaurants in the surrounding parking lot. 

I wonder if they had to close off a portion of the mall, or if they’re able to shoot such projects there without any major closures. I kid you not, when I say that majority of its interior is devoid of people 

Fun fact, this is the same mall where they shot the exterior scenes of Back To The Future where we first see the Time Machine DeLorean do its thing 

They still have the Twin Pines Mall sign on display inside Puente Hills.

I guess maybe in this century. They had big bands (Iron Maiden, The Beach Boys, ABBA, Pink Floyd, Radiohead etc.) and Elton, Tina and Frank Sinatra in their roster at some point. 

Interscope still barely financed a 3rd single from ARTPOP despite BTWB's and ArtRave's great grosses, while she was their biggest artist along with Eminem and Maroon 5 at the time so my point stands. I like her label but they tended to pull the plug on radio support relatively fast with her, for instance.
