The gay dating app was flooded with reports of it being down, and location services all pointed towards his event. RuPaul warned us about this in a 2013 interview. He said that doors always open and close for civil rights. A lot of gays were conservative in the 1980s too. The problem is that a lot of gay men can be (I'm LGBTQ+ myself) very stingy when it comes to how they are perceived. They want to be seen as normal, so they blame others for their issues. A lesbian pick-me went semi-viral recently for making a video where she was very upset and literally said "we might lose our marriage rights because of how trans people are behaving". It's a lot of victim blaming. Trust me, I have had waaaaaay more problems with problematic gay men than trans people. So many of them will bait people into relationships when they actually just want to hook up (I've had this happen 2-3 three times). A lot of them are very misogynistic too.
