Minor detained after assaulting a stadium employee at NBA YoungBoy concert

A viral video capturing a T-Mobile Center employee being assaulted by a teenager during an NBA YoungBoy concert has sparked outrage on social media.

The incident occurred on Sunday night at the T-Mobile Center, where around 13,000 people attended the concert. The video shows the employee being pushed to the ground and punched repeatedly. A security guard was also assaulted while ejecting the teenager from the arena.

A spokesperson for T-Mobile Center said the employee was working as a member of the venue’s guest services team.

The video has been widely shared on platforms like Facebook and TikTok, highlighting concerns about youth violence and the safety of public events.

Officer Alayna Gonzalez of the Kansas City Police Department confirmed that the teenager involved was detained and later released to his parent. Gonzalez said he’s below the age of 16.

Ross reported that the employee’s injuries are serious but non-life-threatening, although the specific injuries remain unclear. x

This Wednesday, YoungBoy was set to perform in Chicago at the United Center but the concert has been canceled due to numerous safety concerns.
The cancelation comes after the United Center appeared to recently create a stricter bag policy for the show, saying absolutely no bags would be permitted inside.
