I'm so sad, but the future seems to be live events for rich people and livestreams at home for poor people. No wonder crowds have been getting quieter and quieter. Going to concerts has turned into a social-media flex. You no longer go to concerts to dance and celebrate your fave, you go because of TikTok consumerism FOMO.

You know, ticket prices are kinda whatever, each artist has their price and that's fair. But what I ****ing hate are the bot/resselers that sell tickets for more than triple the original price and dynamic pricing. That should be delt with cause its idiotic that some sick individuals get to pocket a ton of money for tickets.. and I kinda feel like a lot of these resselers are part of the live nation crew so they get even more profit without giving the artst any money.

Thing is, music industry is in a very weird situation right now.

I feel like, music was the last thing capable to stick ppl together somehow, and now with TikTok and social media taking over people’s way of living and consuming, make it seems like we are getting into bubbles of music appreciation… it’s weird. I see some people saying that this happens because people are so overwhelmed with so many big bunch of releases everyday that it is getting impossible to follow through so instead, we are kinda sticking to whatever we tend to be familiar with.

The tour consumerism at this point is been like a fever dream kinda thing, but mostly for other reasons than actually enjoying the music. I don’t know, I’m just glad I had time to enjoy what music was in essence back in the 90s and 00s tbh, those were good times.
