This is with the full tracking week. The song had a slow start in the US, we are only seeing good great numbers for the past days in the US, and radio is still picking up, I can see new peaks in the coming weeks. Savage 1,783
Isn’t this only for 2 days of tracking? If so, isn’t that fantastic, and can’t we expect a large increase in its first full week?

We might see an increase the next week if streams remain stable and the gains on Radio are enough to overcome any decline in sales. Either way, a Top 40 is an accomplishment and it could peak closer to Halloween.

Wednesday release giving only 2 days tracking before the tracking resets on Friday? I know she doesn’t care about the charts apparently but I wish her team cared a little more. What would be the harm in just waiting 2 days to release on a Friday to benefit from a full tracking week for its debut week. I mean why not just give every single it’s best chance. This prediction is with the full tracking and in fact this week the song has its biggest 3 days of streams. So in the end this was not a big deal. Had it been released on Friday we would have lost a 3M day for a 1.5M day because the song hadn’t started getting traction. The debut would be worse Edited 7 hours ago by andy232000 1

We are trained to see a release date for singles (when they do announce then) and then people who are interested do listen to it. It’s normal. I think even more so if a popular show said “The Dead Dance” officially drops on xxx date” the day of the the program release, I think peoole would still have interest. I think single release dates still work. This one would just have had even more publicity because of the show. I agree, especially because statistics show that first day viewership was down for season 2 part 2 the meow in zombieboy
Nagini 2,994
I think it's important to note that Gaga isn't a mumble-rap, TikTok, R&B artist, or country/conservative-ish pop artist (all of which are popular right now with the exception of KPop Demon Hunters). Just read that sentence again. She's pushing what she is known for (dance music) forward during a time in which dance music is just not popular. She doesn't have to go that route (look at DWAS, VIY, How Bad) but this is what she wants to be known for. It's ok if this song ultimately doesn't do well (it is doing great growing DoD on Spotify and Radio). If she wants a hit, she has them with this album and is clear about what the general public likes from her (Million Reasons, Shallow, ARUTW, DWAS) etc. 1

The song will find its audience hopefully. I just can’t help but look at the dings released by the younger generation and they easily chart in the upper reaches of the chart and it saddens me a bit that Gaga can’t still do that so easily when she so deserves it. I’m a chart gay and probably always will be. But regardless I still love the music. So, let’s check in on this younger generation in 12-15 years and see how their new singles do Charts-wise. At 25-27, Gaga had already released 3 albums with 3 #1s and 10 straight top 10 singles. Why are we comparing her now, 4 album eras later and at the age of 39, against Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, etc.? Their core fans will age with them and by 39, newer artists who connect more with the demo most interested and willing to mass-consume pop music will have debuted and eclipsed them, along with changes in technology that can and will impact their metrics, just as shifts from physical to digital to streaming impacted Gaga’s. That doesn’t = underperformance; it’s the way the industry works and why important players within it (Interscope execs, trades like HDD, etc.) have been praising Gaga and MAYHEM as a success all year, no matter how loud some fans whine that a #13 peak is some stain on her legacy.
