This performance was magical; her vocals were great and the visuals were mesmerizing. I wonder why she chose to perform on Colbert & why she picked VIY. It all seems a bit random, but hey, I'm not complaining. VIY is my favorite track on MAYHEM and I'm holding out hope that it'll get single treatment. I'd be ok if it doesn't, but it more than deserves it. 

Btw, it baffles me that y'all will praise every single piano/acoustic performance she does to the heavens and back, but then be absolutely against the idea of her releasing a ballad-y/stripped back kind of album. I need her to release a ballad album in the future. She's got the talent for it, and it's clear that many people (particularly the GP) enjoy it when she does more stripped-back stuff.

I fully agree, like on a 200%, but why is it that hard to consider Gaga is the one wanting to deliberately be succesful hence releasing (because she wants to) TDD as a single attached to Wednesday? I feel like the MAYHEM era is the first one in a long time (probably since Born This Way) where she's not just in the mood, but wants to play the game on her own way

Wow. As the performance ended, I had tears in my eyes and goosebumps all over my body. What a performance.

Her vocals sounded incredibly strong, the arrangement and harmonies were gorgeous, and knowing she’s in a good place finally with a good man just made this even more heartfelt.

Not to be dramatic, but as someone who has followed her from the beginning, it’s so beautiful to see her at peace, but also so artistically fulfilled. It feels like she’s always been chasing something when creating her music throughout the years, and though that’s brought incredible music and passion, now it feels like she’s just following her passion and enjoying what she does. The artistry is just as passionate and chaotic, but built from a home base of peace.

Right! Her piano/acoustic performances are always so beautiful. She really excels at those, IMO. I'd absolutely love an acoustic album.
