Economy 50,063
Go back to 2010 or 2011, would you have thought that Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift would be the only 2 female artists from that era to still be relevant (to a major degree) in 2025? Economy 50,063
Personally if you aked me in 2010/2011 id have said Lady Gaga and Katy Perry In 2013/2014 id have have said Katy Perry or Adele and admited defeat for Gaga I would not have guessed Taylor Swift at the time to be the biggest all this time later, and I would not have guessed Katy Perrys career was gonna evaporate and boil away so fast

Evan Peters 10,751
katy was always going to end up where she is because nothing about her art is authentic. she clings to faded trends and her team is more worried about virality vs quality of the music emma roberts is an abuser
Mister Gaga 22,932
Beyonce is still there, though she kinda from the Britney/Xtina generation.

Shes closer to Xtina and Britney generation than Gaga, Swift, Perry, Adele, Ke$ha, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus etc Edited 6 hours ago by Economy

Tbh i still found Katies music and videos and performances more interesting than Taylors revenge breakup music
kimeow 359
not really, to be honest i thought Gaga had peaked already and i had no idea Taylor could get as big as she did. if you asked me 14 years ago i would definetly say Rihanna would be the biggest popstar in 2025, she was on a roll with hits and just kept pumping successful albums every year, GP never got tired of her. who knew she would just... quit music lol

Shes closer to Xtina and Britney generation than Gaga, Swift, Perry, Adele, Ke$ha, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus etc I can be very critical of Beyonce (well, critical of her fans), but Beyonce is on the level of gaga/swift, Cowboy Carter didn't have many hits but that's not always everything, and she still managed a cute hit (and it pains me to say that it peaked higher than abra), her album numbers are still impressive, cowboy carter did 407K first week, not to mention the power she still holds in touring, she does numbers and moves people. And her streams are not really horrible, they are just bad compared to the numbers gaga has been putting out this year, but generally they aren't too bad. I'd say right now from the "legacy" acts, the main ones are only Gaga, Swift and Beyonce, and Beyonce being in this list is even more impressive because she's been in the game for longer. Now, Beyonce fans dont get bold because if I hear even one gaga comparison I will clock you with numbers Edited 6 hours ago by lastpopicon The melody that you choose can rescue you 7
AVeryGagaHolyDick 25,956
I had no idea Taylor Swift was even successful until like 2014-2015, so no I definitely always expected Gaga to remain successful though

I could have thought her as well Tbf she never started flopping she jjst quit so who knows. She could have continued to slay hits for all we know (same goes for Adele, she takes so long between releases its hard to know what her full career potential woulda been) I agree with Taylor. She was just another A-List celeb at the time competing with Gaga, Ke$ha, Adele, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus etc. She was kinda on par with those names but not bigger. Compared to Gaga and Katy Perry Taylor Swift wasnt even fully on par id say, she was close but slightly less popular tham them during their peak Id never have guess almost 2 decades in she was gonna be bigger than ever. Its a true phenomenom. Even Madonna did not reach a major peak this huge this far into her career. She achieved a second major peak in the 90s a decade and a but after becoming famous but not a huge all time peak 17 to 18 years in. Thats truly unsual and virtually unprecendented and not normal in a pop career at all!

As u said urself, shes from before She would be the Britney, Christina, Pink, Jenniger Lopez, Gwen Stefani and Hilary Duff era Edit: Omg I thought 2008 to 2011 produced a lot of big women names but late 90s to early 2000s was huge too Mid 2000s i can only think of Rihanna, Nelly Furtado and Avril Lavigne Edited 6 hours ago by Economy
PartySick 161,365
I always knew Gaga would last. I didn't know that she would repeak again and again but I never saw her fading away. You're stinky
