I find it refreshing to read other people’s legitimate feelings/thoughts/critics of the art and artist that we are all clearly obsessed with. Negative or worshipping in nature alike. People shouldn’t have to filter their honest opinions here. It’s a forum ffs. However, I do think sometimes blatant negativity towards a project would benefit from more explanation on why someone feels that way so it doesn’t  come off as generally hateful or offensive.

1. People are allowed to express how they feel regardless of it being positive or negative. 
 

2. Most cases it’s people complaining about the complainers that adds the most negativity (this thread) 

3. This year has been the most positive this site has been in a long time. All of us praised her to the heavens over mayhem, coachella, the tour, abra, disease, tudum etc

 it’s okay if the majority think TDD is not that great

Because these people are using "freedom of speech" as an excuse to bully (which you do by laughing at me). It's just like when people on here in 2024 were saying that they could be transphobic against Sam Smith just because "gay people don't have to like a musician because they are gay".

one of the parts i’ve always enjoyed about fan culture was sharing opinions. for instance i think it’s interesting when someone says they don’t like a song, and someone else points out something they do like about it - i think different perspectives can sometimes make me appreciate songs, performances, looks etc that initially weren’t favorites of mine. as long as we can keep it fun and civil, i have no problem with people disliking some of her projects. if i did, i would’ve never joined a forum and i would have just consumed her art independently.

maybe i’m just unbothered because i used to be on stan twitter when i was a preteen, so this place seems like heaven compared to that mess

Sometimes the line between negative judgment and constructive feedback is very thin. But having freedom of speech does not mean having the right to use hurtful words against others. True feedback is meant to help someone improve, while personal attacks only tear people down. The way we express ourselves shows whether we actually want to build or just to criticize.

The mass hysteria and edginess society is going through comes from a place where every single soul thinks they've got something interesting and unique to say every day, every minute, about pretty much whatever. What's funny is, those who threw hate towards TDD (not disapproval, not disliking, just pure hate) won't get on this forum the next day to say smth nice about her music or artistry. They simply see her as a monkey trapped in a circus: blatant entertainment. Even though they'll say they're being honest and real people, they know deep inside they're lying. Most of them compete to see who spits the most outrageous, disrespectful and "lol how funny" comment

The issue is not the criticism of Gagas music and/or music videos itself, but rather the way people express said criticism. There's a fine line between writing down your thoughts in a constructive way and simply being insulting or even haughty at times. For example: The Dead Dance MV was being accused of using AI, but later it was revealed they did the special effects without AI. People were extremely bitchy about it, without any proof. 

Unfortunately, this is to be expected on the internet. The anonymity granted by being online brings out quite a bad attitude in far too many people. Compared to other forums I used to frequent in the past, GGD is not as bad when it comes to rude people. I do understand your point, but ain't nothing gonna change the way things are. The best we can do is either ignore the things triggering us, or type out our thoughts on individual matters.

As Kesha would say: "Don't let the bastards get you down!"

Yeah, growing up you really learn to be like "ok cool, happy for you" when people hate on something you like and then you move on.

The Dead Dance is a solid bop  and miss Gaga gave everyone two options: dance or die.
