I think these TV shows are taped live or the day before. I don’t think with her tour schedule she would’ve been able to pre-record a second performance

Yes they usually do it earlier in the week or a week prior to actually releasing- I wonder if she used her time off between the first NYC dates to do the taping because he films in NYC (I had to look it up), which explains the space between those tour dates!

They’re saying Gaga would never cancel a tour performance to save her voice for a TV appearance, not that Gaga has never had to prematurely cancel tours.

Also: lbr CBT was basically complete aside from having cancel the last show due to severe weather.

Exactly! The CBT was most likely spaced out due to her getting herself back into that level of performing, and since she discussed her mental anguish around that time, I'm sure she spaced it out on purpose to make sure she didn't burn out. And so the only issues in that tour were solely due to weather circumstances- she even performed with COVID!

I bet she felt differently about the MAYHEM ball, and clearly she is doing better but currently pushed herself a little too far. Stephen Colbert films in NYC so i bet she did the taping right around her first leg in the city before going to Miami

I'm assuming she's gonna do The Dead Dance, but I would LOVE if she did Can't Stop the High as a second song. Just cause I feel like her rock vocals would KILL and it would be a song that I feel might be more geared towards a Colbert audience. Might give some new listeners to the album who maybe wouldn't and also lead more casual fans to the reissue of Mayhem.

I can dream :cryga:

Actually his show taped in the afternoon day of. So in theory Gaga would perform on Monday around 4:30-6:30 and then the episode airs late that same night

I do feel she might do another song because doing TDD two days in a row seems out of character. Perhaps she will give some of the deluxe tracks a little spotlight like you suggest

Where was all this effort for Disease and Abra?

She & Interscope put so much effort into Abracadabra. Grammy MV debut, SNL, Mastercard dance challenge, March Madness, Tiktoks, BTS music video... they poured a lot of resources into the song. The only thing that was missing was a radio deal (which I think would've catapulted the song to much greater heights had they not waited 3+ months to play the song).

Not to mention major play lists as well (which are nearly confirmed to be all payola)

I agree Disease got minimal promo but Abra did get a lot. Dunno why some fans act like it was payed dust

Lord Mayhem

Idk if this will be cancelled too given she needs vocal rest and Dead Dance's chorus, post chorus, and bridge have some pretty high notes...:cryga:
