I see, but I'm not so sure she's pushing for VIY as BPS with a single Colbert performance. If she performed at the VMAs and then again at Colbert a version of VIY then sure. Either way, I would LOVE if she released an official piano version (similar to Joanne) and sweep.

It’s crazy how much I see Vanish Into You as Summerboy but 20 years later.  I don’t think I’ve ever had a similar feeling for any other song.

Both songs deserved to be world wide singles and both were deeply disrespected by the Lady herself

I mean, Bodyguard by Beyonce was nominated without a single performance at any late show, so Gaga already did more in terms of promo. This might be enough

keep in mind who is probably the voter she's targeting. they're the type to watch colbert especially his last few months over something like the VMAs. Plus, the VMAs were used for abracadabra's grammy chances imo. I imagine she wanted to do *some promo for TDD given netflix hired her for the song so i wouldn't read into that.

I also think it's part of her larger campaign for AOTY. She's performing many different songs in many different places. SNL got Killah and Abra. Howard Stern got PC and Abra. VMAS got TDD and Abra. Colbert got VIY. It's clear she's trying to do, less a single promo and more an album push and the strategy is to use Abra's success as the bow to that ship.
