Manifesto/vision for the Mayhem era

Because we already lost our chance for a summer hit this year. 😤
This is my manifesto/vision for this era of the album Mayhem from Lady Gaga.

After Abracadabra, we get “The Dead Dance” for Halloween.
“Shadow of a Man” will come at the beginning of next year.

“How Bad Do U Want Me” will be released as a single during next summer.
And “Vanish Into You” will close the era at the end.

Miss Lady, Laga Dyga, Lady GaGa! Why can’t we have our single treatments like in the Born This Way era? 😤

It's not 2011, it's 2025 guys.

Contrary to popular belief, they did the right thing focusing all on "Abracadabra" even after Copacabana.

Another single soon after would have ended up as a 911/JW situation.

Gaga is a visual artist. If she comes up with a new visual for a new single, it will set a new trend. Besides, the songs I mentioned have not reached the public yet, so I think we still have a chance.

I think if she had full control and not the label dictating the singles- we would have seen a different rollout. Unfortunately, her label has kind of kept her aside/taken her for granted the last several years because they place focus on other artists that they deem more popular/"GP appealing"

We also forget the era is no guarantee. It was flop in the water until abracadabra came along sooooo.

If this song manages to have a cute impact as a moderate hit with some radio airplay and a fair amout of streams, they might release another one and then the re-issue with a deluxe edition. But since they did include this song in the standard edition, maybe not.

As music videos goes, the abra had a whole mastercard deal, this one is all netflix (it seems) and probably why its so lackluster. It's difficult to find funds for videos, me thinks. It's clear thtat interscope wont put they're money on another videoclip. Maybe a tour footage kind of film. We never had those, it's bound to happen. Maybe with a cool remix of one of the songs, to give something new.

truthfully, I think it’s a wrap on MAYHEM. And it pains me to admit it, because I think there’s so much opportunity that’s been missed.

Maybe her vision is more tour focused than music video, that's why she made the promo tour and Mayhem ball, so it is more like a live tour "music video" like Perfect Celebrity for example. But I'm a big music video person and I do hope there are at least one music video.

I do think tours do a lot better at generating content on social media so it makes senses.

It's clear that she put a lot of energy into creating a complex show she's very proud of.
