TEANUS 15,984
What would some of you have suggested or preferred? Lip syncing the show? Skipping lyrics or entire songs?? She’s damned if she does and damned if she doesn’t here - this isn’t some fibromyalgia or something else she literally can’t sing correctly British social ladies with upturned pinkies, glasses clinking // xoxoTEANUS 2
lastpopicon 37,263
I feel the most sorry for the fans, this is very unfortunate. But we have to understand she wouldn't cancel if this wasn't really serious, and that also worries me tbh, hope she can take some good rest and get back to 100%, And hopefully give some compensation to the fans, idk how feasible that is, but we know many people spent time and money in travel and accommodations, uhg, this sucks. CanadaGoesGaga 2,253
Here’s the good news, this isn’t related to body pain or fibromyalgia, but simply something every vocalist faces at some point on a tour or in their career. The vocal cords are a muscle, and sometimes they get overworked and need to be rested. Not doing so could result in damage she cannot reverse, and we need to help her preserve her gorgeous vocals by understanding and respecting when this happens, as disappointing as it may be. I am so happy she is healthy, and this postponement is strictly the result of a very vocally challenging show, on an album she really stretched her vocal chops for. 14

ModernEcstasy 9,134
I hope she’s okay! She’s really been giving this era her all. It’s no surprise that she’s exhausted her vocal cords. The next shows are supposed to take place this weekend. She will probably have to cancel those too. Get better soon Queen
Plastic Flower 5,404
These songs aren’t easy on her voice and she likes to shout constantly so I hope she manages to find a way to make this work in the future. I feel really bad for all the fans at the venue but I'm glad she’s making the right move in the long run. Drop it

ThisGuyTony 33,109
She’s doing almost 8 back to back shows + VMAs after this date I hope her voice can rest and heal these next few days

Jack3257 827
Tbh I unfortunately could see this resulting in setlist alterations for the rest of the tour. For Gaga, 30 songs is a lot for her voice (before you say Taylor did 43, her songs are much less strenuous). I hope she prioritizes her health. Thank you for being someone who understands vocal chord issues. The vocal chords are not like a guitar that can just be left on a stand and then retuned to sound good again, vocal chords are used all the time. They are using in simple conversation, and can be effected by things like post-nasal drip and illness. It is a living instrument.
