olympics ceremony, had a part in La because thats where the next summer olympics will be, last year, billie eilish sang BOAF, snoop dogg was also there i remember that

 

unless the thing i quoted was about dwas having no tv performances, not boaf, which is true

Just tells u how far the competition has slipped.  We are desperate for game changer songs.  DWAS is great - I love it.  That said, it’s just no “I Will Always Love You” or even “My Heart Will Go On” as far as cultural penetration/impact, nor are the rest of those songs (except 1 and 3).

Wow, I knew it was big but not THAT big. Crazy how close it is to #3 but then a Christmas song is obviously going to rise in points very soon. Crazy that its reached this level after just one year. I sometimes wonder how much impact its actually had because chart position isn't the full story but then I see this and it's writ large how much of a big deal it is. Can only imagine what its stats will be by next year. What's odd is that there's still no official update on what its US units sold are. We have basically all the international ones and considering how long its been out and how successful its been in America, how come it still isn't documented?

Yeah I guess that the combination streaming and never ending radio play made it easier for big hits to have this much longevity since a few years
