it does have a second verse - sick and tired of waking up..., its just that the second verse vocal melody is diff from the first. if anything it doesnt have a bridge

Some songs are just meant to be different yall, like lovedrug not having a final chorus before the outro

Ngl the fact that LD doesn’t have a bridge is one of its weakest points

I am so curious to her Chromatica demos because I am so sure that the Alice we hear now is different from what Gaga had initially sonically in mind.

literally, I NEEEED more Chromatica demos bc the ones that have leaked are (imo) better than the final even if they're rougher I see the vision and prefer that route.

Definitely, it feels more like one of those intro songs that serves just to open an album but has no purpose on its own other than that and there's no reason to listen to it unless you're listening to the album in full. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but it feels incomplete. Most tracks could've benefitted from being longer, it's one of the biggest crimes of that album. It's very unlike Gaga to have track after track barely clocking in at 3 minutes. It just feels like the entire theme of Chromatica was to create something very commercial and digestible that the public would love and short songs were the new trend, so short songs it was. So much of that album felt undercooked and deliberately at that.

I think it’s fine as it is, the song never loses momentum and it’s a great opening track. In my opinion one of her best opening tracks that actually sounds like an introduction to what the album is going to sound like.

All casual listeners I’ve encountered and most reviews raved about Alice so I find it shocking so many people here don’t like it lol, it’s definitely one of the most memorable songs Chromatica.
