Is The Dead Dance extending/relaunching MAYHEM era, closing it, or starting a new era?

  1. 1. The Dead Dance is…

    • Extending / Relaunching the MAYHEM era. It will unlock additional MAYHEM goodies / deluxe addition / more singles or music vids to come VIY, GOE, or new tracks. The journey continues 🪞⏩

    • The MAYHEM era grand finale, last single. big visual era closer ( à la GUY film for ARTPOP, 911 for chromatica, MTN vid for Born This Way) 🎉

    • Standalone project / new mini era (within Mayhem era) 💀🕺🏻

I hope it's extending and more singles will come down the road because there's still so much untapped potential left on the album and even more so if there's an extended deluxe version. I just hope the deluxe version doesnt block MAYHEM singles from being released cuz GoE and SoaM definitely deserve a spotlight

I'm on the fence about a deluxe.

I think the team will likely wait and watch how TDD performs first before making a move to confirm a deluxe.

If it does big numbers though they will obviously include it just like DWAS

I agree, my (maybe delulu) dream is  to go viral, for it to become a Halloween staple…. Which then pushes a Total Mayhem, with added dark, funky tracks…

If another single with music video comes out of the Mayhem album (the album we already have) I hope it's Garden Of Eden. That song is pop perfection. The chorus is such an worldwide earworm.

Perfect Celebrity is a favourite of mine, but it's not for the radio.

Zombieboy would have been the perfect for Halloween. But The Dead Dance is upon us.

Vanish Into You could also be a smash a bit like Die With A Smile as it's an up tempo love balad.

With The Dead Dance around the corner I'm really not sure if any other songs from Mayhem will get the single treatment.

I am loving this era though. I'm only missing the goddamn ticket for the Mayhem Ball (cries).

Kind regards

In what world is it *not* a part of MAYHEM tho? Literally the exact same production team, themes and sound fit into the album perfectly…

But a star is born and Joanne were the same team but they’re still completely different projects ????

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

1.) No, they weren’t lol. Lukas Nelson (who was essentially the MD for ASIB), Andrew Wyatt, Dianne Warren, and DJWS didn’t work on Joanne. The only crossover is Ronson and he only worked on Shallow.

2.) The obviously delineation is that all of the music for ASIB was clearly written for the movie, whereas TDD seems to have been conceived as a cross promotion with Wednesday (closer to how Harlequin being a solo project that refers to FAD, but can also stand alone). Sonically, musically, and thematically TDD pretty obviously belongs in the MAYHEM universe, tbh.

The era isn’t over unless tour is over. Also if there’s any award the following year after release, then technically the era is still ongoing

Extend / relaunch? Gurl, the era is ongoing. WTF are you even on about? She's in the middle of a tour and still promoting the album. God this fanbase is delulu.

I think some ppl dont consider the tour part of an era in the same way (at least in the same context) and tbh i get it and somewhat agree

Yes its ongoing... but only to 20k to 30k fans at a time, for those that could make it, and in specific countries... most fans dont even get to experience the tour

In the context of content (singles, music videos, interviews, tv performances etc)... a tour can be totally seperate and irrelevant to that

If an era felt short, and ongoing tour doesnt feel like it changes that
