Why some of you ain't satisfied with a pre-recording performance? Just think of the gag that a new set IN the MAYHEM ball stage will be... Like I'm not complaining at all, I'm actually happy lmao

She'll probably do a new set in the actual tour stage before the MSG concert starts. Fans in the arena win, people watching through their screens will also win... Damn this will be good yup yup

I really was banking on a pre-recorded performance or live from tour because logistics were easier, but if Gaga opens the VMAs at 7pm and leaves right away, she can still arrive at Madison Square Garden around 8:20pm get her make up done and just start the show a little later than usual. Assuming everything else is done and her tour make up doesn’t take an hour to put on. 
 

wishful thinking cause it would be amazing to have her there, but it’s likely a pre-recorded performance

UBS Arena to MSG arena is like 40 min by car, even quicker with an helicopter so it's really doable and she already been in situation like this one in the past and she made it to 2 places in a very short and quick time

I'm seeing three possibilities:

1: Pre-recorded set, not during her show, but probably using the Mayhem Ball stage at MSG, with either Abra or DWAS, into TDD. Logistically the easiest, with the opportunity with some changed up choreography or outfits. Personally, I think Zombieboy (or another pick) would go better with TDD, but she's probably obligated to perform a song with a nomination.

2: Pre-recorded set, during the show, of the entire first act. So "semi-live", but still with enough buffer for mild editing and polish. It showcases a nominated song, and it's one of her strongest live stagings. It would be a longer performance, but they may be willing to give her the full 15 minutes?

3: Streaming live from the show, during her piano set, broadcast at the end of the VMA's. She plays DWAS on piano, announces any wins she picked up during the show to the crowd, and performs TDD live for the first time ever. She's been treating NYC with bonus songs, but the bank of BTW picks are going to run dry before her final show in the city...

I think this will be exactly like what she did at the 2017 VMA with The cure. She will probably use the Mayhem Ball stage and she’ll perform TTD before the mayhem ball show. I think she did something like that at the VMA in 2017

Yes a helicopter would be quicker but idk I’m kinda scared of those lol. Would rather her take it easier and go by car

If she wins, she'll probably accept the awards live onstage like she did for the 2010s EMAs. But the performance being pre recorded (like The Cure for the AMAs) means that she can have more control over it, give the most polished version, and save energy for the show

Does it matter if it’s prerecorded and not live? All of y’all are gonna sitting on your ass at home watching from your computer anyways. It makes zero difference that her segment is recorded for logistical reasons (that being she’s on tour actually performing for fans LIVE).
