whoresup 2,742 Posted yesterday at 03:27 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:27 PM It’s been an amazing era thus far. As with most Gaga eras there’s been some missed opportunities but these are more about things they could’ve done for more chart success or more content for fans. 1. Music videos and more playlist support for VIY and HBDUWM 2. Greater social media presence 3. More promotional appearances 4. Deluxe release (still could happen) That's about it. Togekiss 2,528 Posted yesterday at 03:34 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:34 PM While I do wish we had another video to flesh out the visuals, the live sets have been the best of her career so far. building a daydream

Bling 31,443
Pros: - Best Gaga album since ARTPOP and best era since BTW - Era and album served a lot of what fans have been wanting like dark pop, tons of interviews, longer songs, dark visuals, more/worldwide tour dates, Gesaffelstein collab, PROMO, etc - I couldn't care less about DWAS, but the Abra mv MOMENT during the Grammys was wild. I will never forget it! - She's the happiest and healthiest she's ever been - Her vocals and vibe on stage are back to top tier There's more pros but these are the main ones Cons: - Era started with a bang and then just kind of fizzled. Majority of the album is BEGGING for visuals, and most of us have been waiting for a visual album since at least ARTPOP. I get the music industry has changed or whatever but it's not like she doesn't have the funds a 1 hour visual film would do the trick - Album content. To be clear, I listen to the full album (minus DWAS) pretty regularly. With that said, I do often lose interest after Zombieboy and turn it off. Yes the album name is Mayhem but the momentum kind of stopped and the latter half of the album is a bit basic for Gaga imo - Would love behind the scenes content like making of the album. Gagavision has died I fear - 16 tracks after 5 years? Lettuce pray there's at least a deluxe coming. She's had so many comments since May 2024 about "tons of music* etc that it was a bit disappointing it wasn't a double album or something - Lastly, more music on the vein of Disease, Abra, PC, etc. She really teased this type of era and the fact it's only 1/3 of the album was a huge disappointment tbh - Outside of her control, but the ticket prices for the tour were unacceptable. I've been seeing her since The Monster Ball and never paid more than $250 for floor seats. They were 3-4 times this price, MINIMUM so I couldn't go Edited 22 hours ago by Bling

How bad do you want me was a smash billboard topping single waiting to happen. Imagine a taylor swift remix. You would have loved it. You like my hair my ripped up deeaaakk I hope the exit is joyful and i hope never to return.
TheMontebello 533
I'm gonna be honest. As much as I enjoyed Joanne and Chromatica, and as much as I'd never admit it to myself, I did think Gaga would never come back to the artistry of her earlier eras - not because she wasn't capable, obviously, but because it seemed like she was avoiding it, due to trauma and all the issues she's had - so I couldn't be happier that this era is as amazing as her TF, TFM, BTW and AP. The album is everything I could have asked for, in fact it's better than I could even imagine and the concerts are unbelievable. I voted "Yas!!!", not the music video option and here is why: Do I wish we had another music video apart from Dead Dance? Yes, but this doesn't make the era any less brilliant. We all gave favorite songs and every era from every artist we will hope that one of our favorite songs had a music video. But that's just our personal wishes, and she can't cater to everyone of us. And we don't even know what is to come. A dead dance music video doesn't mean she won't release a music video from a song from mayhem, and if we really get a deluxe... Just take my money abd my wig, Gaga. I love you, you give me everything. hamartia 1,351
Personally I am fed. The music is incredible, the performances have been incredible, her energy and passion has been incredible. You can really tell that she's a more healed and realized version of herself now, and the sheer quality of everything she's done for this album proves that she's comfortable and happy being Gaga again I would have loved for another music video (from an album track) and for more live performances and interviews, but I'm happy that she seems to be doing the parts of the job that she enjoys and not the parts that make being famous seem miserable. She clearly values her privacy and her own wellbeing more than she used to, and that's always going to be more important than the 'content' or chart performance. I think the hype and nostalgia kind of shot her in the foot a little bit here, as a lot of people seemed to be in the 2010s mindset again that she'd be on this never ending promo cycle where her face would be everywhere, AND that she'd adopt the new way of doing it with constant social media promo, collabs, easter eggs, etc. to the level that BTW Gaga would have done all that. Part of me does miss that, but it just feels like she/we have grown past the need for 24/7 Gaga as we've gotten older and our lives are more full. I do kind of cringe that she's got to live in the pop culture online slop world now because she feels so above it to me, but the way she's engaging with it feels far more earnest and Gaga-driven than like, the Farmville stuff or if she'd paid tiktokers to dance to Abra in the hopes that it would boost streams. I know a lot of you guys wanted more current social media promo but tbh I really think it would have backfired and made her look insincere for deliberately trying to create a social media trend - especially as an "older" artist. That kind of stuff has to happen organically, and the way she's been interacting with youth culture like a beautiful alien is far more charming and impressionable than being like "hello teens, you've gyat to skibidi rizz to my new song 6 7 Into You " lol My only real moments were not releasing the Disease music video at the same time as the song, and the relative silence around the Abracadabra music video live debut. I don't know if they really impacted anything outside of the fandom, but they were choices that truly perplexed me lol Edited 21 hours ago by hamartia
princedeeblebleble 1,742
I love what we got, the music is the best since ARTPOP, the videos were all breath taking and the interviews were great around release.. but post release it was kinda dead. i know she was busy with Coachella and the shows but she could have squeezed in a video in early summer for basically any song and maybe do a few more appearances and interviews, but hey :p she's an icon and really doesn't need to break her back with promo anymore. But yea, she's delivered the best songs, vocals and complete vibes for the first time since forever. May Michael keep giving her the beast ao she'll be happy, creative and productive
Raivo 181
Yes, but come on now, we need that LoveDrug video But yeah, a bit more promo and another music video would have been great. Especially after the success of Abra, they could have ridden that wave and pushed one more video. I think internet would have eaten it up. I expected a new single/music video after Singapore shows, but it was nice to see her taking a well deserved break and enjoying her personal life. Gaga's team struggle to keep the momentum going throughout an entire era. I'm not sure why they don't post professional content on her social media while she's on tour, I know we've got Dead Dance coming soon but I'm hoping there's a few surprises coming our way. This part. One thing I love that Beyonce does is post hi res images from the shows and I think it would be cool for Gaga to do that also. I get she’s not changing as much as Beyonce is but all the same some pro footage would be cool to see since it’s not like she’s doing the exact same thing every time
