If Billboard made a rule where only 1-2 versions of an album could count toward the charts, We'd see all these artists suddenly only release 2 versions max. 

I've also noticed a trend where artists are making the main album cover purposefully bad (sabrina, taylor) to incentivise fans to buy the alternate ones.
