I know everyone is getting on the “hate train” per usual (snd I also think that she’s doing a bit too much), but since the only thing she’s doing is making money from her music career so I’m not that mad about the cash-grab(unlike some other artist who become beauty guru, sex toys gurus, etc.. no shade)

 

also the new variants are very thoughtful (it’s not like random photos with random vinyl colors) and the fx of the vinyls are phenomenal imo, so Ill give her that.

Im not a swiftie (i do enjoy her music tho) but I can appreciate an artist that really care about his craft.

I still think the standard cover is the one that works best. All the rest, including this new one, are ugly af. They look like a photographer who doesn’t know basic composition was in charge

100% this. She's very smart, and known for the easter eggs and surprises, so it's a bit stale to just keep dropping different colors of your album lol. She needs to rethink the marketing and come up with something fresh because idk who the hell is excited by this.

She doesn’t even have to “come up with something fresh” she been doing that every album! She just needs to learn when to STOP. There’s always a natural stopping point for a tactic, she doesn’t get that. All these countdowns could have been emails from her website. Now we know there will be at least two more countdowns for two more variants, which is tired. A countdown is supposed to up the hype, make you anxious, check constantly…it worked for the album announcement, not for these.
