What does that have to do with what i said??

I thought you meant that she's relasing variants with a countdown so that people would Google her but I guess not :wtfga:

i find it really funny people are so against her variants but we all loveeeed when gaga had different variants on MAYHEM :laughga: At least, I loved it.

For me personally, it's the way they're sold.

The 48/72 hr flash sales/the pseudo urgency and limited nature of previous variants (although this era they are specifying these are supposedly 1 time runs).

Like, at least with Gaga 90% of the variants were up for sale within the first 24 hours of announcement and remained on sale for as long as stocks lasted.

no this exactly like she is creating this false scarcity and it’s like girl just make as many as people buy and then some extras

Didn't knew about the "flash sales" but there's some double standard going on IMO,  which is totally understandable because this is a gaga fan site.

Because even with gaga variants, even though we didn't have "flash sales", many of the variants are not available anymore, and some variants were available for a very limited time, i looked the amazon variant the other day and couldn't find it, I'm sure the same is true for others variants.

Now, I'm not defending her practices but everyone does it now, we can almost argue that this is more consumer friendly 'cause at least people know for a fact it's a very limited item that can only be bought on a specific timeframe, or maybe I should stop being the devils advocate. :icant:

I mean limited stock is always going to be a reality in the current vinyl market as there's a limited amount of production facilities.
And I have zero issue with stock marked as limited, being limited. You get what you pay for. And with vinyl, it's inevitable that some editions if not all editions go out of print even if they weren't limited editions - its why Madonna's Celebration collection/MDNA vinyl and Hard Candy vinyl are selling for close £500+ in some places. Because they're out of print and fans want to complete the set.

For Taylor this era, it remains to be seen if the variants are truly limited like they last were for the Folklore era.
But for Fearless TV/Red TV/Midnights/Speak Now TV/1989 TV/TTPD all the physical variants were put up on 72 hr limited edition while stocks last flash sales and then in the last week of preorders every single variant was made available on the site without stock restriction.
And hell, for Midnights, there are still boxes of copies at my local HMV for some of the "limited editions".

I'd be less anti-Taylor tactics if she went back to the Folklore sales where the limited editions were truly limited editions.
Like I'm not against variants - even if it is getting excessive now - because I'm a vinyl collector and the variants allow me to pick a favourite style. I just can't stand the manipulation.

Yeah I think people will eventually grow tired of these sales tactics.

But for now she’s striking while the iron is hot. I just feel bad everyone she is rinsing dry.

I know more content is always appreciated by fans, but I have to admit I hate these multiple album covers trend… Totally dilutes the impact of one single good image and makes everything unmemorable.

Didn't knew about her shenanigans with her last albums tbh, that's evil :brat: And very consumer unfriendly, sure, you are allowed to create fomo, but don't re-release the variants afterwards :air: If she does it again this era, i can totally understand the criticism, and she probably will do it again cause she did it for the last 6 albums :bradley: Guess I'm lucky for being a mild fan that just enjoys some of her albums. :laughga:

If we can't buy amazon, spotify or walmart variants, not all variants are available. :laughga:

That's why I said "except" :Cautious:

You said "many of the variants are not available anymore"

3 out of 16 variants is not "many", you still have 13 variants to buy and most likely you can find the Walmart one in clearance for $5 these days.

Spotify and Amazon were limited time.

Even the Urban Outfitter has been restocked many times.

I mean, maybe "many" is exaggerating but 3 variants still can't be bought, which makes my post in fact true. :vegas:

And it's 4 variants unavailable afaik, Japanese Obi black one was a limited edition.

Plus, many of the variants still available on her store say "limited edition" like the ruby vynil, which begs the question, till when it will be available, we just don't know :Cautious:

if you exaggerated then your post is not true, that's how fake news are starting, by exaggerating and giving false information.
