Andrew Watts did an amazing job with the production of the song, the guitar bridge is one of the most exciting production choices in years. Also Bruno is amazing at making timeless classics, him and Gaga worked so well together as mega talented superstars in the song. Only a few ballads in history get to stay for many years (Say Something, A Thousand Years, I don’t wanna miss a thing). Lovely song, it was great to see Gaga so happy and healthy after all the waiting and teasing, but at the end of the day, it's a Bruno song feat Gaga. Also it will forever and always sound out of place at the end of MAYHEM, specifically production-wise. So glad for any Gaga success, but when we were being teased left and right with gothic dance music (this was just weeks after the Paris snippets of Abra and PC ) it was quite the whiplash. It saved her after the JFAD era but... I will always wonder what the Disease era would've looked like w/o DWAS overshadowing it and if they promoted it like Abra. The smash that got away. The way it took off to such a spectacular extent and how I gave up on its chances of #1 when fans were still streaming hard to that point where it did hit the summit and it stayed there for many weeks is one of the greatest moments in all these years of being a fan. 1.2 billion views and 12 million likes, her quickest video ever to hit this milestone and her most liked video of all time is not something I expected in 2025. I don't care what anyone says, I'm so grateful it got added to Mayhem.
