Michael seems like a sensible guy, i.e. he doesn't want to live his life in front of a camera and on social media. Gaga imo looks great, she looks and sounds convincingly happy. Her singing, which definitely went through a ropey patch 5 or 6 years ago, has been back to top notch for a couple of years now. The Mayhem Ball looks fantastic and is being showered with praise, the woman is thriving. All the evidence is that this guy is a good influence on her.

As for 'controlling' .... it's a very pointed word, it hasn't come out of nowhere and it sets off alarm bells for me. I suspect that somebody may have injected that word into the discourse in response to a specific event. She has made some changes to her team, some people are gone. There was no fanfare, no announcements, it just became apparent that they were no longer there. Michael could have been the driver behind her grasping that nettle, and if so, then the 'controlling' narrative could be coming from person or persons who lost out in the reshuffle.

Sometimes it's not about 'letting' someone take control. If someone is in a very vulnerable state then they can be easily manipulated/controlled. BUT I don't think that's the case here.

I completely understand the many intricacies of mental abuse, I’m sorry if I made it seem otherwise! That wasn’t my intention. I can try to phrase it better.

All I meant was that after witnessing Gaga’s personality throughout the years, it’s clear she’s a very strong-willed and assertive person. She’s been in this industry for nearly two decades and has had people take advantage of her, so I trust her to recognize any red flags and make her own decisions.

Yeah if anything Gaga’s Achilles heel at times is when she gets frustrated with someone she can be a little fast to reassert herself. Looking at the past occasions when people tried taking responsibility for her, her image, name, legacy, etc…I don’t see Gaga getting manipulated like that easily. Shes honestly too prone to paranoia imo
