She really doesn’t tho?? It’s just a gag a gay came up with. She samples as much as any other artist. I find it weird people make fun of Ava so much when she is like the most unproblematic artist ever and constantly drops bops

She does...most of her "memorable" recent singles were all throwbacks to songs that were far superior and already released lol

While she may not be problematic in the traditional sense...her music and art are also far from interesting. Most of her songs all sound the same to me or even if they dont directly sample...they give an air of sounding dated

If Ava cane out when Gaga did during the early 2010s...she'd fit right in...but we are in the mid 2020s...her sound hasn't evolved from one album to the next and feels like one LOOONG ass song

Y'all are weird. 5 of Beyoncé's songs from Cowboy Carter are sampled, on top of Jolene and Blackbiird being covers. Gaga allegedly has 6 samples on Mayhem, and HBYWM and Shadow of a Man are "reheated nachos" from other artists. 11 of Nicki's Pink Friday 2 songs sampled songs. Why are we just sitting in Ava threads talking about samples when everyone does them?

Her songs were marketed and HIGHLIGHTED the samples...usually just copy pasting the chorus with different lyrics making the entire song rely heavily on another artists creation to carry the song...

Gaga, Beyonce, and others TASTEFULLY use them VERY subtly to not make it so noticable and actually find a creative way to incorporate it...Ava doesn't

And if that's what's being marketed by the label, do you think that's actually Ava's fault? Just because you don't consciously notice it, doesn't mean your brain isn't taking that in. Y'all say it's all blatant copy/paste but can't even actually name the music she's allegedly sampling. Look through Ava's past few threads. "This sounds familiar" and "I could have sworn she sampled THIS song, not THAT song".

idk what to tell you but the "hallelujahs" in the Lost Your Faith chorus are an interpolation of the Leonard Cohen chorus, I don't know how anyone could miss that (fyi I don't mean that in a mean way!)
