when are you people gunna realise singles post albums for veteran acts are a dead format? financially, it's basically burning money

the tour is sold out, the album sold well, DWAS was a monster hit and Abra was a global hit

the only chance for a new single is a new song for Mayhem deluxe or if a song suddenly takes off on tiktok

even beyonce has ditched music videos completely, taylor didn't have a lead for TTPD until the album came out

But yes, totally agree:  the woman that's on a world tour as we speak, who looks night after night happier than she ever did since she started to be in the public eye, who has a filmed project coming out in just a bit, who's is definitely working behind the scenes with her team and lawyers on a 2 year pipeline of projects and who's probably planning a wedding for her PLUS like private/rl stuff with friends and family (cause god forbid she has a life on her own), ja she REALLY HAS TO MAKE A MOVE NOW or her entire career will crumble because some randos on GGD are getting under stimulated.

We've also had HOW BAD DO YOU WANT ME as a radio single in selected countries, but it seems the streams didn't fully take off. 

Also maybe, just maybe, they're a bit nervous due to the fanbase lowkey sidelined DISEASE

I know we need a new music video!! Ever since born this way era it’s like she doesn’t care about music videos as much but honestly I don’t want tours and movies. I want her music videos!!!

I'm sure she does care about the artistry - Disease and Abracadabra prove that.

But a cinematic music video can cost ludicrous sums of money and labels are reluctant to invest in them because they make zero profit. 

She could self fund, but why self fund a video that is essentially spaffing thousands if not millions up the wall when you can tour and tell the story you want to tell via that format and not lose money as a result.

how can you say she doesn't care about music videos when she's one of the few at her level who still makes videos with maximum effort, even for non-singles, despite it being a dying format?

I was hoping Abra to stay over 2M on daily streams but since Gagacabana it's been slowing gradually. Make no mistake, it is a smash nonetheless. But yes, the hype has to fizzle out over time for every smash. New videos, singles, projects usually keep the GP checking out her entire catalog and boost them as Abra MV release and Coachella/Copacabana are the proof.

The biggest mistake of this era was not premiering anything at Copacabana. T

it had 1.9 BILLION Impressions…a MV, a new song, something needed to be done then and there. The era started out great but after May it just went back to the same old crappy team. There’s no momentum and besides tour, they aren’t doing anything. They should at least try to revive the era next month in order to campaign for the Grammys. 
 

And Gaga is a millionaire, she should not care whether a new single is profitable or not. At this point do it for the sake of giving the fans and era content, not for the charts

What I would do to inject more hype to the era now would be:

1.) The alleged Zombieboy MV / Tim Burton collab in August

2.) Press Junket for Wednesday 

3.) Perform on the VMAs live from MBT on NYC

4.) New Single from a Deluxe Version in between the North American and European legs of the tour 

5.) Release a Gagavision of the tour in between legs as well. 

6.) Move content on social media over all
