Great!! I saw they started posting together again but wasn’t sure what this was all about. Kinda hoping for a new record, tho that feels unlikely… Julia’s voice has changed so much, too.

I bought this because it'll be the closest we get to Lyudi Invalidi on vinyl.

tATu is 100% problematic. I was extremely young when they launched and I was absolutely obsessed. My mom kept singing "only fifty cents, only fifty cents" since she knew no English and didn't know what they were saying. She bought the CD and we listened to it all the time. It's unfortunate that who they are now, doesn't interest me. But wow were they a huge part of my life. They shaped so much of my writing, my creativity, my own music. My band was originally called Volk for obviously Volkova. It was a name that always stuck with me despite my feelings towards Julia. I changed it to Chv.Volk as a way to put myself first but still appreciate that without tATu my childhood would've been extremely lonely. I'll always appreciate them for making me feel included. With that said, my feelings for them now, as individuals, I just don't pay attention to them. I will say, Waste Management was always my favorite concept of theirs and they did a horrible job fleshing out that idea. So I told myself one day I will make an album called Waste Management about all the figurative waste in my life and I'll really dive deep to give this title the flowers it deserves.
