Mkay, sure. Since its just puns let's let it all go unchecked until everyone is used to hearing weird race theory lingo and overt white supremacist declarations calling for ethnic cleansing start sounding like normal conversation.

The normalcy comes from the white house, people are getting yanked from the streets and sent to  prison without due process, sometimes they even end up dead, that's where I could start drawing parallels between ICE and the gestapo, especially because their budget just got increased by a lot (really, look into it), it's like trump is creating his own brown shirts and people are just letting it happen.

It's the ad in good taste? Nope, but we must pick our battles better, if everything is evil, nothing is and that's a dangerous road.

Or we can pick both since one aides the other

I really don't think it aids, I think it muddys the waters, especially when the other side can just say "well, they are insane, it's just a ad", and we both now that's being obtuse but they can technically say that, and let's be real, most people don't know history at all, and that's usually the uneducated trump voter type.

I know this ad has some weird undertones, but when we lump everything together under one evil banner the other side can just dismiss it, sometimes because they are evil, sometimes because they are just ignorant.

With the ICE horrors, we can actually point to real atrocities being committed by the white house, and calling it Nazi is not a reach because that's exactly what it looks like.

And the "other side's" dismissal is valid...how exactly? Since when do we care if Nazis mock us for calling them Nazis?

You've used this ad as a springboard to talk about ICE and American concentration camps a few times now. That's exactly why dog whistle ads that give new, "clever" slogans to Nazis deserve to be called out. They are PART of the problem.

It creates a larger conversation.

Well, the other side put trump in power.

If you can't reach them, you have a problem from my pov.

Let's ask Kamala Harris how well things go when you try to reach the unreachable :rip:

Repukes are too far gone. We need to mobilize more leftists and young voters, that's the key to winning elections. Those are the people we should be trying to reach to shake them out of their nihilism and apathy.

Fair enough, but let's not forget trump picked up a larger proportion of voters under 30 than any Republican presidential candidate since 2008, according to NBC News exit polling.

And young trump voters aren't particularly conservative, there's some reach to be had IMO :tony:

We tried to reach the nazis. We've spent near 80 years trying to build a society without taking the nazis out of it.

And look what happened- they used that time to rebuild and push for power in numerous nations.

There is no reaching them. We tried. We failed.
