The only ones cheering for this are beehives toxic personas from X. I want to go to concerts, I want to celebrate music and support the artists I like, but everything has its limits. It's just a concert. Milking customers, fans, and casual listeners—that's not the way to go. I mean, she doesn’t force anyone to buy her tickets That said, I don’t like her and I want her to flop (I said it ) 1 6

It used to be that the tours that broke records or set the initial records were truly monolithic achievements and culture defining moments and the legacies were long running. So many tours now are pulling insane gross figures while having half the impact at best of previous tours. Obsession with money by companies has reached concerning all time highs Ive noticed a real difference the last 5 years ago not just from my own experience but people around me Every company is like pushing ppl to the brink and trying to squeeze every last dollar of profit they can. The ppl dont matter the human side of things dont matter. Like at all. Its just money money money Disgusting. Ive never hated capitalism as much as Ive hated it the last few years. And yes you could say im part of the problematic group that never fully understood how bad it actually is until I was screwed by it enough times. But at least i learned Any OG Gagadaily members from 10 to 15 years ago may recall I used to be a lot more right winged on economics (or at least centrist). Thinking back to thse days now i cant believe i used to believe the crap that right wing economics brings prosperity overall. Actually so laughable tbh Edited July 30 by Economy Typo

Actually so laughable tbh I agree and I’d say that pandemic made people greedier. I feel like the energy for rich people now is: “well, as we can see human race is screwed so let’s make the most of money we can to save our pockets and make it safe for our (white cough* Caucasian cough*) next generations to come.” … and all that serves for the POC rich people as well.
darkgaga 5,212
Yay, mediocrity for way too high prices wins. And come on, this was just a pop tour with some country visuals 1 1

These people know very well that music is still (and probably one of the few things left) able to bring connection between people, being a concert obviously the epitome of it. I believe the real musicians and art lovers really like what they do, but other than that is just a more convenient way to make money, especially in times that music is not as profitable as it once was.

Actually so laughable tbh Its not even just in how companies treat consumers now. Its every level of business now. Austerity at all levels. Pure brinkmanship with every aspect of the business systems to maximise share holder returns. I see it all the time in the charity sector in the UK as well. We deliver a project for 3 years and then on renewal the funder demands we cut costs down for the next 3 years but deliver more.

In billions of debt, infrastructure collapsing, investment pulled out as profit, on the brink of total collapse and yet until last hear was paying dividends to shareholders and performance bonuses to the CEO. And only stopped doing so because of government intervention.
