Battle 4 Ur Life 6,713 Posted August 1 Share Posted August 1 (edited) well I LOVE IT. first of all I saw the stills and it got me interested. the video is amazing, very poetic. can we appreciate when artists release music videos with subtext instead of just the old new trend of just posing to the camera and moving around looking hot and expensive? I love that she’s bringing that here. it illustrates the song completely, that part of her that is not her but she feels that complete her or represents her and it’s gone. brilliant. loves it. the song is very traditional but her vocals are always good and it gives the americana country-ish vibe that suits her voice completely. she’s representing the country kids who don’t claim the “traditional/conservative” country environment and you just have to respect her for that, she’s braving extremely new and inhospitable territory. for me it’s the best video I’ve seen from her and it has a lot of replay value.
