ThisGuyTony 30,627
That intro lives in my head rent free Because of this song I listed to Nine Inch Nails entire discography Her best lead since Perfect Illusion - it will stand the test of time. It’s a lot more beloved than PI or SL by this fanbase Edited July 24 by ThisGuyTony 3

princedeeblebleble 1,644
Honestly its her best lead since Bad romance. Iconic, otherworldly, insanely good! Like she took everything good from her discography and added it 5o this insane production and created an amazing song. Shame they didn't do much with it tho, were late with the video and did 0 live performances to make normies aware that Gaga dropped the bop of the decade. 2

The drips and drops of information, then the spotify hints, the eerie website, the teaser video and then the music/video drop!? Absolute CLASS and ARTISTRY!!! DarkGa is about as good as it gets! 3 hours ago, Murakami27 said: And the poster? Art. This. Tbh I think we were so burnt out from the pre-era and waiting, JFAD reception, etc that a lot of fans just slept on it. From the Spotify songs + playlist tease to the Disease website, it was so refreshing to see them try something new. It really fed the hardcore fans. As far as the song, still in my top 3 on the album. I really hope the rumored deluxe is ALL this vibe. Still disappointed we didn't get more dark vibes. 4
RBL 577
It is SUCH A GOOD SONG! I was so shook the first time I heard it. So fresh yet so Gaga. It’s like the perfect evolution of her career and set the tone for MAYHEM despite what people might think. It’s such a good record. I love it with all my soul and the fact that it (truly sorry DWS) started with Disease, it will always have a special place in my heart. What a banger: the sounds, the creepy piano, her voice, the aesthetic of it all. Pure genius. ABRⱯCADⱯBRA 1 1
suchheights8 286
Honestly, to me it's her second best lead single she has ever had, next to Bad Romance. It's sonically so different then anything else out there and I LOVE the industrial influence. Do I wish she made a whole album with this sound...yes. Do I understand the purpose of Mayhem...yes. One day when we least expect it, we will get a full album of industrial bangers. 2

Disease is a great example where she is still pop but soooooo far from prettiness and femininity that a lot of pop has rn that she stands out. She’s okay with pop sounding grating, hard, ugly, grinding, sludgy, corny, etc. this ^ She makes, designs, and lives in her OWN vibe and recreates, redesigns, and lives in it over and over again. NO popstar out there right now can do what she does-- they do not have the skill. Her artistry is leagues above others. She truly is the BEST in her game.
