This is old news and known since February already I love the original album and it is Madonna's masterpiece and I'd love a sequel but it will be certainly a challenge to live up to the Grandeur of the first album. Hope she doesn'r rush it and carefully chooses her sounds. Confessions on a Dancefloor is a milestone in pop history and (re-)introduced the dance genre into pop, that later became more popular. She's just posted about it, hence this thread. With Madge you never quite know what might go on with her projects (biopic, anyone?), so it's pretty noteworthy that she'd talk about it again after months of announcing it. The fact she's working in London with Stuart Price (aka the producer of the OG record) is absolutely promising and I have no doubt this is gonna be one for the ages.
dexter87 4
Yeah, I’m super happy that M keeps working on music with Stuart Price – and maybe her new album will have a similar sound to Confessions on a Dance Floor. I absolutely love that album, so I’m thrilled and really excited for what’s coming. Hopefully, it will totally pop us away :-) The world needs high quality pop music more than ever and Mayhem came at the right time - so thankful! mightyriverz 2,603
remember folks, a lightning NEVER strikes the same place twice. she has two albums produced with William Orbit. one is Ray of Light. the other is MDNA. judge by yourselves. anyway, maybe one more feature with maluma oinka monija and timbaland might do the trick 1

But I'm still curious about this release, cause it's Madonna Fans know Ray of Light is her masterpiece but the disco gays have put Confessions on a pedestal. Just like Britney fans want to say Blackout is her best album but those who know, know In The Zone is superior.

Look at people like Cher, Celine etc. At least they grow. With Madonna it always seems like she still wants to be the bad girl she was when she was 25, and she is not. And that rubs me in the wrong way. Just the way she poses and dresses in those pics, idk. Not my cup of tea Céline didn't "act her age" either. Céline already sounded as old as a Titanic survivor when she sang for Titanic in 1997. And I think she's the old lady, the old Rose, slightly altered with makeup. Too bad she was a little girl on the Titanic back then, already in bed at night , because if she had sung that night, the icebergs would have melted thanks to her powerful voice, and they would all have reached America. Madonna remains youthful, and she gives people all over the world hope that life isn't over when you reach a certain age, and that you can do things you used to enjoy and that you don't have to adhere to age conventions. So many other stars have either faded away or become old divas, stuck in the 80s, but not Madonna who is modern. Madonna is the American dream - forever young - only it's not a dream, she's living it. These days in clubs, many 22-year-olds don't really dance anymore, but stand at the bar drinking and lounging around, Madonna often dances better than them. And "dinosaurs," I take that as a compliment as someone born in the 90s, thanks. Dinosaurs are the greatest land species and the second greatest species after (blue) whales, so yes, we are great! For me she is not, everything she does looks (for me) forced and inauthentic. Also her "sense of humor" and personality is terrible - judging by tons of interviews I've seen. Besides, she lost her voice. There will be tons of autotune, which already makes it worse than Confessions nr1. There was autotune there, I know, but her voice was way better.
Ouranos 802 Posted yesterday at 12:45 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:45 AM I find it weird the looks give hard Candy not confessions 🤷🏻♂️ I feel like returning to a album 20yrs later feels a bit…… reductive (I had to)

ARTPOP Act II would be interesting but she can top that album. But Born This Way? There’s just no way she tops it or makes a volume two that’s nearly as good/authentic
NotoriousEden 215 Posted yesterday at 04:34 AM Share Posted yesterday at 04:34 AM (edited) I think it’ll be amazing Madame X was already a return to form. She ditched the awful writing camps and went back to her old ways of creating albums. Especially now it seems like she completely ditched that loser Mike Dean. She’s been working on this album since last year so I assume it’ll be ready somewhat soon. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re finishing it up. She usually makes albums very quick Edited yesterday at 04:35 AM by NotoriousEden 1
AyeshaErotica 1,704 Posted yesterday at 05:03 PM Share Posted yesterday at 05:03 PM (edited) By the way, Hung Up's music video exists in Full HD. Real Full HD, not just upscaled from 480p or AI enhanced, which makes videos only marginally 10% better and 5% worse at the same time. Hung Up has a good quality and this is stunning considering the MV will turn 20 years old in October. HD became more common by the end of the 2000s and back then I was watching it in standard 480p quality on YouTube, as the HD option has been added only many years later. So many music videos from the 2000s only exist in bad to mediocre quality or fake HD on YouTube. Sometimes a HD version theoretically existed as the camera had shot it in HD, but was never released because HDTV was not common and the video producers are not working on these projects anymore, which is a tragedy because often these videos have a legacy and still fans and there could have been a HD version if producers would have thought in long-term intervals. YouTube reduces the bitrate, and a video with a 4:3 aspect ratio has the same bitrate available for fewer pixels, resulting in higher pixel quality, while a video with a 16:9 ratio has to distribute the same bitrate across more pixels, resulting in lower quality. Hung Up is therefore even sharper than a 16:9 video would be. 'Sorry' looks like 720p upscaled to Full HD, not as sharp as Hung Up, and Jump looks likewise like 720p upscaled to Full HD and Jump is sharper than Sorry, probably because Jump is in 4:3 aspect ratio, too, benefitting from the quality increase.
