It’s a buzz-kill and the loss of exposure from “top 50”-type playlists, tweets from major charts accounts, etc., isn’t nothing. I think the obsession over daily streaming numbers is somewhat insane, but it’s even more insane to only allow some artists and teams to reliably and consistently leverage them. 

I agree but I take consolation that this era shes benefited more from random events than shes lost

 

BM going viral on internet out of the blue not only gave her a hit from over a decade ago but gave her a chance to cameo in wednesday + get a song promoted she wouldnt otherwise have in the first place.

 

Sh*t happens, but at least the random unexpected stuff in last couple years benefited her more than it hurt her as a whole and I choose to look at it that way

I feel Netflix is after Gaga as an actress not as a singer. They are willing to plug money in TDD to sweeten the deal, but they are competent enough to know music is very volatile. They probably see this as an investment rather than a means to hit.

Fair, but with the heavy promo they must expect at least a Halloween hit, they are investing in Wednesday too, it's their biggest series.

It won't matter anyway because radio will make this a hit () but Spotify can choke lmao And maybe this week things get back to normal, let's see.

I didn’t join Gaga daily officially until maybe a year after the Super Bowl, but I remember lurking on the site around that time, the stakes were so high! 
 

I will say though our fanbase were troopers during that era and we still celebrated the small wins during that time
