Just out of curiosity, if Spotify stops suddenly updating numbers all together, what would that entail for chart predictions like Talk of The Charts? 
 

And how would the Top 50 playlists work? Would they just quietly update them?

 

I feel like a decision like not posting numbers would ultimately weaken the chart obsession in social media and maybe cleanse the TL from a few obsessed Stan’s who only focus on that.

It would work similarly to AM charts, they would still report the numbers to labels and Billboard but we wouldn’t essentially know them till they publish them officially with positions.

ngl i like this a lot like i am an AM girlie so i never kno what is going on with spotify so i never kno what is trending i do hope spotify does that in tandem with AM cuz then peeps wouldn’t have to feel so tied to the computer refreshing a page

I think Talk of the Charts has access to more detailed data. you can't predict anything on Spotify numbers.

It'll be crazy if we don't get an update today.

The fact that Spotify is radio silence about this is also frustrating.

Not to mention that some songs including TDD will be impacted negatively by the lack of updates as they will not benefit from the chart playlist reach...

The update is 1 hour late for today already.... We are not getting anything, that support message was just PR.

I swear, this seems like a bad joke, why does this had to happen on a Gaga single release  We essentially just got 1 PARTIAL DAY, we are losing on potential press, potential playlisting and losing exposure, not to mention we literally have no clue how the song is actually performing and this will be the THIRD day without numbers.

At least we know its performing good on shazam and radio which normally means its a hit but this Spotify situation is ridiculous, and yes, this is me crashing out a bit.

TDD is possibly losing streams btw.

Cuz if it already peaked Top 50 around the world last friday, it would automatically be playlisted on Top 50 daily charts. And those charts have at least some streams to contribute cuz of their followers/reach.

At this point I feel like we are going to find out when the song debuts on the Hot 100…

at least I saw we are doing quite incredible in Radio and the songs official Impact is about to start
