Releasing part 2 albums is a notoriously bad marketing strategy - especially when the first one was 20+ tracks. Quantity vs quality, no ones gonna gaf. Releasing too much too quick hurts peoples careers. Cardi destroyed her music career by taking a 7 year break. Her singles have barely moved the needle and they arent that great. Doja comes the week after and idk what is going on with her, shes great, but no one is interested in this new album. Its kind of confusing what has happened with doja but I think it has to do with the disinterest in scarlet. Unfortunately do not think that the new album is going to go well. The song just doesn't make it and is indeed a disapointment for the fanbase, but that's okay lol not everything needs to be a hit. If gaga's team thought that this was going to be a hit then they must be really delusional or rellied way too much on the netflix promo. The fanbase is complaining project after project and isn't satisfied about anything (just switching one something that grab some success from the GP). The fanbase online is her biggest hater. It's very GP friendly, which is what you need to get a hit. Let's hope people like it. It seems to be a grower for most LMs. Maybe Interscope won't do anything but I'm sure Netflix wants another hit Regarding singles, she had plenty of time to release GOE, VIY and HBDUWM as singles... If they wanted to, they could've released them after Abracadabra... One mid March, other in May and the last one in July. But they didn't, so... + She already gave us Disease and Abracadabra and we couldn't make them reach top 10 so they decided to release a GP friendly song. I mean below 250k debut for MAYHEM in the US is a bit unfathomable to me given how amazing this album is. the fanbase is aging, so I think it's normal that people are not as actively supporting her as during the BTW-ARTPOP days but anyway.
