It’s been beef for a while, not that I’d expect this forum to know or understand. Started with shady business deal. Was offered $1 million for sale of Tidal and given 24 hours to accept. It was shady for a couple of reasons, FACTUALLY the initial reporting of the sale was that it went for $297 million majority stake, which means three percent equity she held came out to $8.91 million. This is already significantly more than the $1 million that she was offered. This ended up being a lie though, the deal was actually for $302 million; based on that, each artist should have taken home $9.06 million. Other things such as the NFL Superbowl being offered to Lil Wayne, in his hometown of New Orleans, then ripped away and given to Kendrick has contributed as well as Jay signing Meg to Roc Nation etc which are just what we know publicly as some moves that Roc Nation has made that are commercially against Nicki. Even Beyoncé’s collab with Megan felt like an attempt to block Nicki’s first number one (which is why Nicki redid her verse on the Say So Remix to respond to Bey directly). Jay’s links to Live Nation, the NFL, Music and Sport management, record label etc have meant Jay has a significant amount of power in the industry that has been recognised and criticised by more figures in hip-hop than just Nicki. This includes allegations of entire smear campaigns and using industry connections to blackball artists. I do sense that this forum is a little less Hip Hop skewed, meaning they are a bit out to loop, as well as a tad racist regarding how they respond to a Black woman from South Side Jamaica Queens expressing herself in the way she does on Twitter- but that’s another convo.

Yeah the beef with Megan was actually a "proxy war" of sorts that was actually a beef between Nicki and Roc Nation. (Kind of like how Beyoncé VS Kelis was moreso Pharrell Williams VS Kelis.) he/him/his

The issue with this forum is that they all like to sh!t on people and focus on the people rather than what is being said. The industry is dirty and kills artistry, but somehow Nicki is just bitter and is somehow incapable of telling the truth about the industry despite being the highest performing female rapper to this day. Chapell Roan is a brat and entitled and needs to learn to be a star but paparazzi are a disease, even though Chapell's case is HER fault. It's selfishness and self-centered attitudes and that's what it is. Unwillingness to view other's perspectives and seek to understand them.

TheARTPOPball 422
Might be in the minority here but i don't really find it hard to believe that a billionaire would be involved in a sketchy business deal like this at all And i don't think it’s right to go accusing women or just people in general of being on drugs because of a situation that we really don't know much about. People forget we don't know celebrities, rich people do not play on the same fields as us, and there is probably a lot going on behind the scenes that we really don't really know about and probably will never know about.

Because its hard to trust a person like Nicki given some of the blatant misinformation she's peddled and her consistently being on the side of predators. Like she spouted so much covid denalism bs during the pandemic and just blatantly made up or passed along total bs like the thing about her friend's balls. She's just not got a reputation you can take seriously. Its like Azaelia's comments over the years in relation to the allegations about Diplo that pop up every few years. When you ruin your reputation it doesn't matter what you say from that point on even if right, no one will take you seriously.
nATAH 48,544
do people really still choose to believe people dislike nicki just because she's black rather than the fact she married + had a child with a sex offender and spread vaccine misinformation? mother, what must i do?
