Are there any big pop stars besides Dua Lipa and Rihanna who have publicly sided with the Palestinians?

Kehlani, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Katy Perry to name a few.

that's why it's fun to fight me and u. we will never use cheap arguemnts like that.

we will never agree or say that the other is right, because ego, but at least, we let out some steam :volantis:

I love arguing with you. We agree on like NOTHING, bicker like a married couple, yet I'd take a bullet for you lmao. @SharkmanthaC literally asked if I was actually mad at you the other day :ladyhaha:

Calling someone stupid just shows your maturity level, however you being a Michael Jackson fan has everything to do with this as it’s clear your judgements are questionable at best. Anyways if I thought she was a hollow capitalist who only speaks on issues when it’s important to her I wouldn’t be a moderator on a fan site for her but that’s just me.

I mean, you're leaping to assumptions about me 'cause I don't like how quiet she is about important stuff nowadays.

Maybe the stupid thing was too far but a gay is frustrated and coming down from a long day and smoking session. That's on me though, you right :icant:

Also I’m not saying you can’t have an opinion I just find it strange how you can turn a blind eye to your other fav being a predator and child r*pist but not another one not speaking out on political issues.

'Cause I don't believe he was one.

If you think he was, good for you.

Neither of us has to justify our opinions to anyone else and liking an artist that you believe allegations about doesn't disqualify me from saying "imo, Lady Gaga is too quiet about *gestures generally at the world*"

Billie too, right?

When I saw Melanie Martinez she dedicated an interlude to the genocide with some biting comments and ended the show with a "FREE PALESTINE" chant

Gaga's offered a platitude about "praying for peace" that I believe was targeted at Israel/Palestine. I don't even remember if it was before or after Oct 7th, it could have been years ago when the (ridiculous) allegations of her being a zionist first popped up.

The ONLY interaction Gaga did on this matter was a 'like' she gave to a post by Mark in which he said something about both Israeli and Palestinian children but the post was mainly about Israeli hostages and that was a few days after Oct 7th.

Nah, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, P!nk, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Adele and many other pop celebrities have not made any pro-Palestinian comments whatsoever. It's not just Gaga.

OH!!! @Bambino I MEANT TO TELL YOU!!!

I was on an MJ deep dive again a few weeks/months ago. They have regular auctions where they sell off his notes to collectors and in 1993 he actually wrote a verse for a song called "Palestine, Don't Cry". Here's some of the lyrics:

See the plains
Of the days of old
Just a century ago
When stories of peace were told.
Of how Gallilie (sic) ran through
The Jordan River.
What remains are cold
Tales of war,
Of the death and dying
Bomb shells are flying
Bodies multiplying,
See the children crying.
What are they fighting for?
I will pray for you,
Oh, Palestine.
Oh, Palestine,
I will carry you, oh,
Palestine, Palestine.
Palestine
Come deep in
My heart.
I’ll always love you.
Palestine, don’t cry,
I will pray for you,
Oh, Palestine. Oh, Palestine,
Oh, Palestine.
God’s a place for you
Oh, Palestine.
And, I believe in you. Oh,
Palestine, I will die for you.

So upset that he wrote thousands of songs that we'll NEVER hear :bradley:

It's worth mentioning MJ left the US in much of the last decade of his life and there were even rumors of him converting to Islam at some point though he still often talked about Jesus so...idk :laughga:

Anyway yeah I completely forgot to share this :bradley:

P!nk actually made pro-IDF posts, but then again, we're talking big pop stars.

I think, like a lot of things, it's safe to assume her personal stance on the matter while still being incredibly disappointed that she won't use her platform for anything constructive

HOWEVER, in 2022, she signed a letter against BDS (according to the Jewish organization in Hollywood whose name I forgot but I was given 3 permanent WPs for saying calling it a Hollywood organization or something)

EDIT: it's "Creative Community for Peace" (CCFP)

There’s A LOT of evidence that he clearly was, including numerous victims and paying them for their silence. But I guess if being in denial and downplaying victims of SA is your thing then that’s on you 🤦‍♂️

Why this projection on @PartySick tbh? Him stanning MJ and whether he was a pedo or not have absolutely nothing to do with the fact that some of us don't like Gaga's silence on Palestine/Gaza. Just because someone is a fan of a person who was accused of such things doesn't take the rights from them to question another artist's silence on things that matter. I don't see how you connect the dots in this one.
