Ranking Gaga's albums, now

1. TFM & BTW - both no skips, have largely held up with little ageing. Truly revolutionary moments in pop music.

2. Mayhem - first no skip album in years, real return to form. Feels like an heir to the Mother Monster legacy.

3. The Fame - brilliant quasi concept album. The singles stand the test of time. Real showcase of Gaga's talent and potential.

4. ARTPOP - Great album, some low points. I feel like the concept became a bit of a white elephant for the album era.

5. Chromatica - does the genre well, but really reflects how disassociated Gaga was in parts of the production.

6. Joanne - feels like 2 albums forced to exist together. Nice visit to a genre she wanted to explore, but takes no risks with the genres and pays them too much respect to stand out.

7. Harlequin & the rest of the jazz albums. - 99% covers so I will never rank it that highly. C2C & L4S are very traditional and while good do nothing interesting as a result. Happy Mistake is amazing, but otherwise Harlequin is again almost entirely covers and seems to hold the history of the songs in too high of a regard to put a Gaga stamp on them.

1. Born This Way (magnum opus, simply the best and almost no skip as well)

2. The Fame Monster (iconic on its own, pure slayage when combined with The Fame but for the sake of fairness, I will split it into two separate albums)

3. ARTPOP (yes, it's messy and chaotic and all over the place but I loooooooooove it)

4. MAYHEM (in the same sense that ARTPOP is chaotic, this album is like a more refined, mature version of it)

5. The Fame (simply iconic but some songs aged kinda terribly... sorry)

6. Harlequin/C2C/L4S/ASIB OST (I know it's not fair to just mash them into one as they each has their own uniqueness but I feel like since it's not necessarily considered a true Gaga project, I'll rank them as one)

7. Chromatica (same case as TF, amazing but it sounds dated and bland already)

8. Joanne (I haven't listened to any of the songs in like... idk, 3 years? truly forgettable)

1. MAYHEM : The musical research that has been invested, the maturity of her voice and sound. There's no skip. Also, the vibe of the era is really my favorite. I identify with it enormously. Having attended her first Coachella performance, I've never been to a better concert in my life. The Art of Personal Chaos is, in my opinion, Gaga's best concert.

1. Born This Way : I mean, this is truly a classic, and it's on the same level as MAYHEM for me. It's been my favorite record for so long. No skips either. It's truly a masterpiece and will always have a special place in my heart. It is so elevated. It's the Credo of her career.

2. The Fame Monster : the album for me that confirmed that Lady Gaga was my favorite singer. It's dark, it's elevated, brilliant, amazing, show stopping, incredible, totally unique, never been done before. It's the Pater Noster of her career.

3. ARTPOP : so misunderstood yet so brilliant. I loved the ARTPOP experience and the sound is very unique and avant-garde. IMO it is pure art and one of her best albums.

4. The Fame : I love it, there are so many iconic songs. The album that started it all. Some songs are a bit too fruity to my test and aesthetic even tho I love them but this is the reason why it is that low in the ranking.

5. Chromatica : it is a good album overall but the production IMO is too polished and clean. I love when Gaga gets dirtier.

6. Joanne : PI is amazing and there are some very good songs in that album but that kind of music is not the reason I love her.

7. Harlequin and jazz al. : Last position, nothing else to add (Happy Mistake should have been on MAYHEM IMO). She's brilliant when she does jazz but it is not the reason I love her either.

1. Mayhem -  best, most complete album in every way - song writing, production, vocals - a true home run.

2.TFM

3.BTW - it’s great but what knocked it lower is it’s “throw everything at the wall to see what sticks” approach to its production

4. CHROMATICA - could almost go to 3rd for me, but it’s a one-trick pony production wise  &nbsp

5. TF (while the hits are undeniable, the production quality on much of the album is lacking for me and there are some serious skips - sorry Red One)

6. ARTPOP

7. Joanne

  :holdmyhand:

It's so difficult to rank the top 4. BTW will probably stay number 1 but MAYHEM is her most no-skip album for me besides TFM which is only at 4 due to it being short

I love all her albums and the fact they're so different from each other makes me love them even more. Even the collab ones are so unique to each other

1) Born This Way - easy, hands down. Most iconic and complex album/production even if it's rough at times

2) ARTPOP - with only one skip (Dope), this is the album I always come back to and can play start to finish (mostly). It's EDM but not cringe. Love it.

3) MAYHEM - Re-peak for miss Ga, but unfortunately suffers from the second half slump. Tracks 1-7 are some of the best in her entire career, followed by some of the worst :vegas: DWAS still feels so weird on there. HBDUWM, Don't Call, and DWAS could have been unreleased, Blade is cute but ...

4) TFM - Short n sweet with some of her best tracks like DITD and BR, but some have not aged well/overplayed like Telephone and Alejandro.

5) Chromatica - has neither her best or her worst (even though PD and FT are close) memorable choruses but the production is bland, predictable and songs way too short

6) The Fame - Oldie but a goodie. Some tracks have not aged well but still has her most iconic, timeless bop LoveGame. Could die happy if I never hear JD or PF ever again though.

7) Joanne - Not that it's "the worst" , but come on, we fell in love with her dance pop music. This was an interesting experimental time, but majority of the tracks suffer from sonic blue-balls. Right when you think the chorus is going to explode (DH in particular) it's just mid. I don't think the album accomplished what she set out to do, sonically or culturally. Highlights are JW, Ayo (yes, seethe), Slay Girl, and PI (sometimes). Could die happy if I never hear MR or Come To Mama...or Angel Down again for that matter.

EDIT: "Joanne (Piano Version)" not being on the album version is a CRIME. Like WTF were they thinking?...
