Should be marketed as a collectible disc. As if we don't already have a culture of people buying vinyls who don't even own record players and just want to display them on their walls. Unwanted CDs are normally donated to charity, but as it's unplayable, people will literally throw them away. Even if they get a refund, that disc will undoubtedly end up chucked by someone somewhere, probably the manufacturer when no one buys them. Adding to the landfill problem tenfold with this one. Solar Power digipack came with some pictures but no disk because of the environment. I don’t know if she intended Virgin CD to be a collectible thing or they made a mistake but if it is then they should’ve put that on the sticker and a code to download it. My how times have changed. She also said during the Solar Power era that she wouldn't be releasing any CDs because she wouldn't release merch that she wouldn't own herself... lol no king, or court!
Cavadour 2,559
Just call the next album 'Oblivion' with no physical or streaming release at all. An album you'll instantly get the concept without wasting any money to buy. Late to the party but I got a diamond heart

high culture 2,239
The clear CD works, what doesn't work are CD players or multiple disc changers that detect a CD is present via optical light. So you can do a bait and switch with a different CD to detect a CD is there then insert the clear CD
