I personally think it’s great news and very long overdue but I also wouldn’t trust most straight men to be honest about it sadly

The way they're talking about it, it's mainly for couples that are family planning.

On their product page they shared one of the guys from the trial talking about how much his girlfriend hates the pill so he's hopeful about this so she can stop taking it

The other thing is, it wouldn't protect against STDs. So condoms still need to be used.

Im so so glad I'm gay and never have to consider any of this stuff for my own health.  

It looks and sounds grizzly to this testicle-haver, but I'm all for new options as long as it allows people to control their own bodies and health in that way

No  it's just a syringe into the little nut tubes. So instead of surgically opening up the area to clamp or sever them it's a quick injection

Exactly. I think men need to understand how hormonal birth control is not a great option for some women. There are very few non-hormonal birth controls available. You can be on a pill, but unless you take it everyday at the same time, it can be less effective. You can get an implant in your arm. You can get an IUD - which is super painful. I've had an IUD for years before. I almost passed out when I got one inserted. I also have one now that was implanted during my c-section. It then moved after my c-section when my uterus was trying to return to normal. That wasn't comfortable at all. I have to have an IUD because of my uterine cancer risk. And IUD insertions are invasive. For all the men saying you wouldn't use this, I'd look up some of the hormonal birth control things and realize this would be an amazing thing for some people. Even having an vasectomy is a lot less invasive than a woman getting her tubes removed.

Idk how far out it is from actually being widely available beyond clinical trials but go for it
