Roughhouse Dandy 11,173
Thank God I'm able to vibe with this way more than Solar Power. She's continuing the trend of making the best song on the project the shortest (Still Sane, Sober II, Leader of a New Regime, and now Clearblue) so that kinda sucks, but oh well. It'll be very interesting to see where she goes with her music next This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.
Gagasdisease 182
I'm the biggest fan of her first two albums but Solar Power was not it for me. I only saved "Mood Ring" and the title track. This is definitely a step up from that. I was a little underwhelmed at "What Was That?" at first but it definitely grew on me. "Man of the Year" was amazing, one of her best, imo. I saved "Current Affairs" and "If She Could See Me Now," and that's it. I wish I liked it more, ngl. I love the aesthetic and the cover but most of the tracks are not grabbing me, not very catchy, and the production doesn't fully go where it could have gone. She could've taken it way further, even with "Hammer," which is the perfect example of how she could've made it slightly catchier too. Not my favorite but definitely a step up from Solar Power. Hope she collaborates with different producers in the future that push her to new sounds. Her first 2 albums were so sonically iconic and unique at the time they came out. This is far from that, but I'll take the songs I like for now.
