Chola refers to indigenous women and it very much isn't an insult in Bolivia: I know that in certain North American countries, like Mexico or U.S.A. the term has negative connotations, but it isn't the case in South America. "Chola/Cholita" are descriptive terms, not pejorative. Same with Orient / oriental In most other Western countries, saying someone's orient or from an orient country is purely descriptive It's only the USA that makes everything about race and racial connotations, it's honestly tiring to the point someone can't use the word "Orient" in a song about inclusivity 😅 Give me a break Edited Monday at 07:18 PM by tlittlemonster

You log in and you’re instantly shown ten threads that read like TMZ headlines or gross tabloids in the early 2000’s and they’re riddled with nasty posts like yours. Here's a link to an academic paper with some sources giving a little overview of the matter if you care to learn more about why we grew out of using "Orient" to describe Asian people instead of just brushing off widely recognized insensitivities. Is that what you’re taking from that? It’s not your posts about Beyoncé. It’s the nasty language you’re using, and the fact that you WANT to fight. Nothing you said was even relevant to any posts made before yours or the topic at hand. What I said was very relevant thank you very much lmao People are defending it and that's wild, if this was gaga she would have less support here probably you just keep proving my point that any criticism against beyonce is met emotional outbursts and personal attacks The melody that you choose can rescue you

We should know this lol I think it's quite unfair to compare a song from 2011, made in a different world context and with less ethnic and racial literacy, with an ethnic controversy happening in 2025. I’m positive Beyoncé does not agree with what is written, it's obvious that she would do things differently if she had read the text - if not for ethical, moral and humanitarian reasons (which I believe she has), then at least to protect her own image. 1 hour ago, OliviaRodrigoStan said: Chola might be considered a slur in North America, but it is certainly not in South America. While the term is not inherently racist, and as you well pointed it can refer to an ethnic denomination in Bolivia, it can be used in a derogatory way. I think context and tone are always important to understand if the term is being used pejoratively or not. Take a tiny sip of reality juice please. You haven't even said anything particularly interesting or incendiary enough about the woman to upset anyone; you're just annoying people. You got a thread closed because you wouldn't let it go and couldn't stop being annoying. Multiple people chimed in to let you know you were being annoying. And from several of your replies its transparent to everyone that you know it and it's fun for you. This isn't a emotional Beyoncé fan problem; it's a YOU problem. Do better. Lmao, the fact that you quoted me 2 times already proves that what i said bothered you, and you even bring up different topics that have nothing to do with this particular topic, just like the first user, people are really focused on me Almost like is...personal? and tbh, in that topic i just laid out numbers/facts, not my issue if people are upset by that. 🤷 Now, let's stop the off topic. Yes, my phone copypasting twice absolutely proves I'm in shambles over you being annoying on a website. I don't know you so its not personal. Your bs has been called out by more than just 2 people so.... yeah, not a personal thing. You did more than talk numbers and facts but we can pretend you weren't calling people pathetic for disagreeing with you. It may not feel like your issue but there's pretty clearly an issue with the way you decide to present yourself on here. Recently at the very least. But yes, let's get back on topic.
