Do any of y’all also think there’s something wrong with the mix and mastering?

Personally, compared to Chromatica the production is more loud, abrasive and some vocals could come off a bit muddy but I like it. It has that raw gritty texture like Born This Way and ARTPOP. I see it as a stylistic choice rather than lack of skill or taste.

I definitely notice a difference between when I'm playing from my speakers, perfect for music with a ton of layers, and my phone. Skill issue tbh

I think the engineering is generally all good. If I had any complaint it would be with GoE, much like the twink seems to. It’s a smidge too loud and abrasive for me and the music almost overpowers her vocals at many times. But it doesn’t ruin the song for me.

MAYHEM was able to mix different genres and make it sound cohesive. It's not noisy like BTW and ARTPOP, but it's not too polished and clean either like Chromatica. The fact that Perfect Celebrity sounded like that is an achievement tbh. Vanish Into You also has a lot of layers, and it sounds great.

Complaining a dance track slightly overpowers the vocals intentionally bc it’s meant to sound grimy and abrasive…mama stop listening to Ariana grande and Kim petras.

its always twinks who like the most milquetoast “dance” music who have things to say about the stuff that’s actually cool. We need less tiktoks.

It’s 100% a stylistic choice. Any time Gaga’s albums sound a certain way it’s that. BTW *does sound crazy but that was the point. She wanted it to be loud, messy, muddy and garbled. If you don’t like it, okay, but acting like it’s some overlooked error is just silly when she’s been on the record for basically every album talking about her intentions with the overall quality of sound

I definitely hear it a lot on vanish into you, its my favourite song on the alhum but i wish the mastering was better that electric guiter in the chorus was not needed

The only song I have a problem is Kill For Love... It sounds so weird and it's a shame because it's such a good song
