Iranian hacker claims Albania is legitimate target for sheltering oppositional group

Taking advantage of the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, the Iranian hacker group Homeland Justice issued a threatening message linked to Albania’s hosting of members of the exiled Iranian opposition group, the Mujahideen-e-Khalq (MEK), based in the Manzë camp near Durrës.

In a statement posted on their Telegram channel, Homeland Justice claims:“Iranians have the right to strike the Manzë camp with missiles.” The threat was accompanied by a cyberattack targeting the official website of the Municipality of Tirana.

The statement has sparked concern over national cybersecurity and the continuing threat from hostile state-linked actors targeting Albania due to its geopolitical alignments.
