That’s exactly my issue with it too tbh. Pre-chorus, chorus, post-chorus, and bridge are really strong, but the verse melody is way too static. She picks it up a bit with the adlibbing and rhythmic changes in the second verse, but it still doesn’t do a lot for me

Her voice alone in this one saved it for me. I love the chorus. 
 

lyrics are a little bit literal for a Gaga song, but at the very least, i think its quite relate-able and still better than what that standard pop star would have to offer

I thought I was alone on this one.
DCT was the first one to stuck on my mind after the album came out. I can imagine her singing on the piano just like Fun Tonight at the Chromatica Ball. The vocals.
I didn't know how to put into words but some of you have for me.
