I absolutely love this track and it struck me instantly when I heard it. I love the sound when it starts out - can’t explain what that is - or what you would call it but you probably know what I mean. and that bridge! Even though it’s a repeated line - when Gaga comes in on the 2nd part - perfection! I also love the vocals on this track - actually she uses what I would call more rock/growling vocals on the whole album (for the most part) but she just kills it on this song - I feel so much energy and love the lyrics. I love the beat, it’s so good! I need this on the Mayhem Ball set list - it can’t be forgotten - the same can be said for LoveDrug but that’s another topic! I always think of DCT and LoveDrug as the two underrated songs on the album, but LD gets much more consistent love/defense whereas DCT doesn’t have that. I've seen people hate GOE because they think the lyrics are too cringey, or LoveDrug because they think that using drugs as a metaphor for love is overdone, or HBDUWM because it's too "Taylor-coded," etc., etc., but I genuinely never understood the hate for DCT.
