This northern queen of the big BLUE is releasing an extended album of BLUE, as an celebration for how it changed everything for her and how she still sees how it still lives on even a decade later.

The album, STILL BLUE will be out on 26th June. It will contain the brand new single STILL BLUE out now! And some unreleased bridges and the unreleased and vinyl exklusive song Dive!

The new single STILL BLUE reminds me a little of Lady Gagas Stupid love and Auroras song Hearts Intuition. My favourites artists, and then having the BLUE sound from ionnalee, a mix of everything I love from my music lovelies. I can’t handle it

Personally:

The BLUE album means alot to me, one of my favourites if not number one and is the mostly the only one I listen to in order. It came out in such a difficult time as a teenager. This new single made me bawl my eyes out, the emotions I had was intense, felt like a release of every feeling you can have. The funny thing is I listened to the song 20 minutes before I was supposed to go to work, was not expecting the reaction I had and I looked like a mess when I went out, on top of that, a pink hoodie with a red cried face. Guess the nostalgia and the sound and memories just flooded me over. I am an emotional being but rarely I react this intense. It was beautiful though.

I am also so excited about the song Dive being released to streaming, it’s such a great song aswell!

If gaga does something similar and go back to the ARTPOP sounds I will not be able to handle the emotions, I’d die happy OMG how I want to feel it

I bought the limited edition physical album 10 years ago and BLUE was a very special and cohesive era that elevated her sound into a more conceptual and polished sound

With that being said, I'll be honest and say this song didn't really impact me the way the original songs did, but more so I see it as her reflecting on wanting to almost go "back" to that era where she still had her original team, iamamiwhoami collaboration, and overall height of her popularity if im being honest

It's nice tho that she added a new song and new interludes. The artwork and photoshoot for this album was also top tier and to think she did all this without a label and yet it looked and sounded so professional was incredible

Blue came out during a complicated time in my life as well. I love this album so much.

Yes, agree, it is really an achievement on it’s own. It was a great era with lovely aesthetics.

Sure, the songs on Blue are still stronger, however she really did encapsulate the vibe and sound from Blue with Still Blue and so immaculate.

I already stated my reaction, but yeah, I think I reacted the way I did because I can hear all my three main favourite artists in this song. Someone might not agree but it’s very personal to each on their own with art/music/interests. So yeah.

I am not sure about this, she does not feel like that type of person / artist. Like she’s independent, choosing to have her own label, taken alot from own pocket to do her art, music wholeheartedly. With that, I think she is aware of that the members of the old team might move on themselves and go as she can’t pay to have “the” iamamiwhoami team 100% all the time. I think she just has great memories with the Blue album. Like even in the new song STILL BLUE she literally says “ we can’t go back, we can only go on” which for me indicates that she is or already have been moving away from it but did this as a gift to her fans, it is though her most successful album… So why not celebrate it and give the fans something, it’s a nice gesture.
