Nintendo’s recent Mario Bros film grossed over 1 billion dollars with talks of a sequel and spin-offs for Donkey Kong and Luigi set to come. Pauline started as the original damsel in distress back for the arcade Donkey Kong game in the 1980s. Since then she had a reinvention as a Jazz singer and mayor of 1920’s NYC inspired city. She sang a swing song and a J-pop inspired song. Her latest incarnation is her at 13 years old where she teams up with DK on his adventure and she is singing songs that sound like it’d be from a Disney Princess. I think there is enough material to work with and Pauline could play a pivotal role as lead female in a Donkey Kong film. I could see Gaga really do wonders with that kind of soundtrack as she could do Jazz/swing, J-pop, retro 8 bit electro pop using iconic DK tunes as well as some Disney Princess style musical numbers.
