Honestly, I respect artists who do their own thing vs. make s*it TikTok music. She can say whatever she wants. At least she's trying and has more integrity than most.

But if she doesn't want to promote her music, why would the label invest in promo?  Make it make sense... I'm sure they paid a lot for playlisting but despite that she flopped hard  What else can they do if she doesn't want to sing her new songs?

she has a point, older/more established acts receive less promo than breakthrough acts that labels seem to push everywhere because their single is a tiktok hit... if it's not a hit, labels don't gaf cus they know the tour will do well regardless

I've never heard a Miley song on my Spotify, yet her songs keep playing on my autoplay even when I blocked them and keep skipping them. Wasn't her latest single #1 on TTH and still couldn't stay on the Global chart?

She really needs to shut her big mouth and start promoting her own stuff. I've been wanting to see her in concert for a while, but she's just lazy and pretentious.

she had visual album premiered in theaters, all 4 singles on TTH, she was on tons of playlists cover,
she had posters/billboard all over the world:

didn’t this woman make a whole movie, multiple podcasts and had a sit down event to discuss the movie and album…what does she mean “at least someone’s promoting it” when she’s promoted it multiple times

booked some performance slots for her, get her on some popular YT channels, maybe headline a festival... to me, it sounds like she wanted to do more but the label was unhelpful and just left it at playlisting and posters

she said she doesn't want to perform at big festivals because she prefers minimal shows so she had private concerts for friends and fans at The Carlyle hotel and Chateau Marmon and show at Rough Trade with album signing and Spotify's Billions Club Live. she also performed at Jimmy Kimmel Live!, had Zane Lowe Interview, Jimmy Fallon interview,, global listening events, early film screening with fans, The New York Times photoshoot + hour long interview, film premiere at Tribeca Festival, podcasts...

well she's not randomly mad at them for no reason girl
