Interesting.

Coldplay are one of those bands I like to listen to on the radio and that, but I'd never intentionally set out to listen to them. My brother has their first album and I listen to it now and again. They have some really catchy tunes.

One of my brothers is like a big fan of them. I remember him fangirling all over the new album. :dies:

I personally don't really listen to them nor do I really have an opinion on them. There just another band to me.

They've never really appealed to me really, not particularly a fan of the genre. I do love Viva La Vida though, it's really fresh and different from their other material which is probably why I love it. I am now a fan of The Scientist after watching the video, really interesting!

But aside from the fact that I'm not really a fan, I admire their work and their impact, particularly in the UK.

I think that's kind of the point. They're really not supposed to stand out. They just enjoy making music and art, and I respect them for that. They're very talented.

When it's my week I'm debating over selecting Owl City and Imogen Heap :taylor:

I think more people would be familiar with Owl City, but they would be both interesting to discuss :)

NOW STAY ON TOPIC! :haha:

I didn't know they had "impact" in the UK. How big are they over there? I knew they were popular, but not to what extent.

Haha, what a coincidence. My brother and I just had a conversation about that and can somewhat agree with this.

I definitely love Gaga the most, but it's nice to have a little change in awhile and listen to a laid back band :)

My artist is going to be the total opposite of Coldplay. Basically. :fat:

Anyway, on topic... Viva is pretty damn amazing. Especially the video, I love the painted look. Clocks is another favorite, I remember hearing it the first time in a trailer for that Peter Pan movie. Paradise is really nice too. Although they're not my style, I can enjoy them.
