I confess Garden of Eden was the first song I played from Mayhem at first listen, I cheated a little bit but it was worth it because she laced that one with everything I love. Insane electronic production, riffs, hooks, vocals and I consider the bridge one of her best and that’s saying a lot. it’s like the perfect intersection between all her “pop” pop albums imo and it sounds fresh and “Gaga”. edit: the second verse is literally cr*ck. I love the way she shouts in the background “BUT YOU CAN’T HEAR HA (When the music’s on)” I chose to stan Garden of Eden more than most songs on Mayhem but Abracadabra is still her “comeback” moment for me ever since Born This Way. I’m loving that is definitely an organic hit without being a top 10. Disease is also become a no skip at all. It’s very original and really catchy. Before Mayhem I was obsessed with That’s Entertainment and Close To You from Harlequin. I still love that album.
